Vinyl or aluminum: which should I choose?
Vinyl is the most popular choice: lower cost, never needs painting and comes in the widest range of profiles and colours. Aluminum costs more but is fire-resistant, fully recyclable and gives a crisper, more modern finish. We install Kaycan and Gentek for both and will quote either, or a mix, such as vinyl walls with aluminum capping on windows and trim. Both Kaycan and Gentek are Canadian-made.
What does siding cost?
Every siding job is custom: the price depends on the size of the house, the profile and material you choose, and how much trim, soffit and fascia is involved, so we don't publish ranges. The estimate is free and you get a written price with each item broken out before you decide.
Can you side over brick?
Yes. Siding over brick is common on older homes and split-levels. We strap the wall first, add insulation board if you want it (it's optional), and finish with new capping around windows and doors so everything lines up.
How long does the job take?
It depends on the size of the house, the material and how much setup is involved. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the estimate and stick to it.
What brands do you use?
We install Kaycan and Gentek vinyl and aluminum siding, both made in Canada, in a wide range of profiles (horizontal, board and batten, shakes) and colours. We can colour-match to your existing trim, windows or roof.
